LPCB
The door was tested by the LPCB who are the leading centre for loss prevention testing and approvals in UK.
They are an independent test body used by the insurance industry. Previously owned by ABI they are now part of the Building Research Establishment.
LPS 1175
The LPS 1175 standard is based upon numerous attacks on a sample and is
intended to find the weakest component.
There is no limit to the number of total attacks that can be made on a test specimen; but only one attack is made at each location.
Remember:
- Attacks conducted in well lit lab conditions
- Full prior access to technical drawings
- No concerns about noise levels or being detected
